Water is life, but for many in the arid and semi-arid lands (ASAL) of Kenya, it is also a daily struggle. PHF's Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) pillar has been working tirelessly to change this narrative.
Beyond the Tap
Our project doesn't just stop at drilling boreholes. We establish community water committees, train local technicians, and implement solar-powered pumping systems to ensure sustainability.
Recent impact metrics include:
- 5 new solar boreholes commissioned
- Reduction in water-borne diseases by 40% in target areas
- Empowerment of women-led water management units
